Q. How does Reiki work?
A. Reiki is an ancient Japanese relaxation technique and healing modality. You as the client lay down on my very comfortable massage table (or in your own home if it is a distance session) and I channel light energy through my crown chakra through my hands to the different areas of your body, mind, and soul. Q. What are the benefits of Reiki?
A. Reiki energy is pure, soft, and gentle. It impacts everyone differently but is never harmful. Most clients experience deep relaxation. They sleep better in 10-12 minutes than they have in years. Others have said they just feel warm, calming energy. One client said it felt like a cool Listerine for her soul. I have helped clients navigate through past trauma and forgive deep wounds. Q. What are the benefits of Reiki when physical workouts and meditation are being combined?
A. Reiki and exercising do not have a direct connection, although I have given Reiki sessions following a workout and clients have been able to relax and sleep very well afterward. Both have been known to calm anxiety and ease depression and migraines.
Q. What changes/improvements do most clients experience when combining “mind, body, soul” workouts?
A. In my experience, the benefits of combining Mind, Body, and Soul have been limitless and lasting. Most people are not prepared to address many of the mental barriers and issues that have become built into their deep consciousness, so by working on all three I am able to usher in more foundational changes and paradigm shifts. The benefits have been limitless because I am never truly aware of all that clients are dealing with internally. I have seen people decide to change career paths, walk away from horrible habits, leave abusive or unhealthy relationships and jobs. Internal work always bears the most external fruit.
Q. What is the GotHarmony? book about?
A. From learning how to create a foundation of self-love to get in touch with your body, GotHarmony? is a workbook for practicing a uniquely holistic approach to personal development.

Q. Does Reiki conflict with religious beliefs?
A. No, Reiki does not conflict with any religious practices. It is pure energy, just like we gain energy from the sun, food, talking with friends, or hugging a loved one. Many religions believe in the laying on of hands or praying to their higher power. We also use different forms of energy in everyday life, like electricity, without questioning whether they are against our religious practices. 😉 (Click for more information)
Q. What am I supposed to be eating and how can I figure out a meal plan that I can stick with long-term in order to be at a healthy weight?
A. This is the absolute most common question about nutrition I have received as a coach. Choosing a sustainable meal plan is challenging. There is no universal approach because everyone’s body, metabolism, and lifestyle are different. There are a few ideas I offer in my book on this topic, and I can help build a custom nutritional plan for clients.
Q. What do you do for the Fuller Theological Seminar?
A. Fuller offers a set of courses that help students examine how they navigate their vocation and spiritual formation. Within that course, students are broken into diverse groups. Each group is assigned a group leader to help them navigate different coursework focused on developing their Vocation and Rule of Life. I help lead students through unpacking various group, and individual exercises and/or spiritual disciplines.
